Smyrna, Fla. (February 6, 2010) – Rob Fuller has reason to smile after topping the speed charts at New Smyrna Speedway on Thursday and Friday. The New England native finished a full day of practice Thursday with an impressive lap of 17.17 seconds, more than two tenths or a second faster than any other car in the field.
Friday was a day filled with chasing the weather, forcing officials to cancel the first day of competition in the 44th World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing; but not before the Tour-Type Modifieds hit the track for a practice session. Fuller proved Thursday’s speed was no fluke, pacing his Draco Springs Modified around the half-mile oval in a time of 17.29 seconds, one full tenth of a second faster than the rest of the 27 car field.
Rob Fuller and his Draco Springs team return to action tonight through Feb. 13 at New Smyrna Speedway. Be sure to follow all the racing action and check for updates at www.robfullermotorsports.com.
