Rob Fuller to Return to the Driver’s Seat at New Smyrna Speedway

Fuller looking to compete for Championship in the 44th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing

The last name Fuller and modified racing have always equaled success. Rob Fuller looks to carry on the Fuller family tradition of winning in the 44th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway February 5th through the 13th.

Rob Fuller is set to drive the No. 17 Draco Springs Modified under his Rob Fuller Motorsports (RFM) banner. It will be his first time competing for the championship in all nine days of competition at New Smyrna Speedway.

“I am excited to compete for the championship at New Smyrna Speedway,” said Fuller. I think the Draco Springs car will be very competitive. After sitting on the pole and leading a bunch of laps last year, I think a championship is possible with no distractions from the big track (Daytona).”

Fuller parted ways with R3 Motorsport at the end of the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) Season and is set to return his focus to driving and running at a more competitive level.

“I left R3 Motorsports with two fully funded NNS teams, a part time Camping World Truck team, and we even made a run at the Daytona 500. I just felt it was time to return my focus to driving and Draco Springs. I wish R3 nothing but success in the future but I am ready to put my R3 days behind me and focus on driving and competing for championships.”

Fuller, a Massachusetts native, earned his first win at age five with a victory at Thompson (Conn.) Speedway. He comes from a rich racing history that is responsible for more than 250 NASCAR victories up and down the East Coast.

The 44th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing runs from February 5th through the 13th at New Smyrna Speedway (FL).
